Thanksgiving Minion Nail Tutorial :)

Happy Monday Everybody!! We only have a few more days until Thanksgiving, yay!! All the yummy turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, and my favorite, pumpkin pie. Yummm. Just be sure not to forget the true meaning of thanksgiving. Think about all the blessings you have in your life and everything that you should be thankful for. Take a minute and just think about it. Even if your life doesn't seem the greatest at the moment, there are still a million things to be greatful for. So, to celebrate thanksgiving I decided to do Thanksgiving nails of course.

But, I couldn't just do any old Thanksgiving nails! Look at these! They're little pilgrim minions! They're so stinkin cute! Lol. If you would like how to see how to get these cute little guys, then be sure to stay and read on. :)

Alright, so first, I of course just started with my base coat colors.

Then, I decided to work on the pilgrim minions. I took a yellow polish and painted on the bodies.

Next, I took a brown polish, and the smallest dotting tool and painted on the hat.

Next, I took a grey polish and the largest dotting tool and dotted on the eyes. I also took the brown again and at the very bottom of the nail, I painted on a little rectangle for the shirt of the minions.

Then, I finished most of the little details on the pilgrim minion nails. I took a smaller dotting tool and used white polish and dotted on the eyes, and then the smallest dotting tool and used black polish to dot on the pupils. Then I took the smallest dotting tool and black polish again and drew a line from the goggles to the sides of the nails on both sides. I painted on the smile using the small dotting tool as well. And, I also dotted on two small buttons on the brown shirt in the corners.

Then, to finish up these nails, I took the small dotting tool and the brown polish and drew lines from the shirt up to the sides of the nails on both sides diagonally.

And that's all it took for the pilgrim minions. Now for the turkey minions! To start on these nails, I took the large dotting tool, and a bunch of Thanksgiving themed colors, and created a 'turkey feather' background on the nails.

Then, I painted on the bodies of the minions on top of the feathers.

Next, I took the grey and the black polish and dotted on the goggles for the eyes, and the mouths. I chose to do open mouths for the turkey minions.

I then took a red polish and painted on the shirt for these minions and then I took a white polish and dotted on the eyes on top of the goggles.

Next, I finished the details of the mouth. I took the smallest dotting tool and a light pink polish and made the tongue. And then the small dotting tool and white polish and dotted on the teeth.

Next, I finished up the eyes. I dotted on the pupils with the black polish, and then drew lines from the goggles to the sides of the nails with black polish as well.

Then lastly, I just added my topcoat and these nails were all finished! I use Essie's Good to Go Topcoat.

Tada!! All finished and adorable!

Deer Hunting Themed Nail Tutorial

Hello everybody! How are you all today. I am doing great, I did two different nail designs today, my sister in laws and mine, those will be up in the next couple days. A few days ago I decided to do some deer hunting themed nails to celebrate deer hunting season starting in Michigan. I choose to do  it a little girlier though

\
Aren't they just cute. They are girl camo themed and I put a little deer in there too, :) Allright let's get started!

So, first I of course started out with my base colors
You Don't Know Jacques by OPI

Brazen by Formila X

Then, I started to work on the camo. I took the second largest dotting tool, the blue one, and just took all the colors that I chose to use and made random lines and dots. Now, I don;t have a dark green, so I just created my own by using these three colors:

Radioactive by Formula X

Dark Matter by Formula X
White Matter by Formula X
All I did to make my green was put two drops of green, one drop of white, and one drop of black and it turned out the perfect color.

I just kept going crazy with all four colors till the nails were fully 'camouflaged.'

Now to start on the little deer head! :) I took a brown polish and painted on the head outline.

Then taking the smallest dotting tool, I drew on the antlers for the deer.

Then came time to draw on her ears, eyes, and nose. for the eyes, I used a medium size dotting tool and dotted on white background for the eyes, and then using a smaller dotting tool, I dotted on the pupil of the eyes. For the ears, I took the smallest dotting tool and brown polish and carefully drew on them on.And for the mouth, I took a black polish and painted on the little noses.

There you go, just go ahead and add that topcoat girl! My favorite is Essie's Good to Go Topcoat.

Voila! All finished and shiny and beautiful :). Thanks so much for reading my tutorial, be sure to browse my blog and look at my other tutorials and follow me. Tribal Nail Art Tutorial

It's Friday!! Wohoo, weekend time! Got anything exciting going on? I'm going to the movies with some friends :)

My disney nails were starting to chip and I just can't stand chipped nails, so I decided to do them again and do another tutorial, lol. This time I decided to do some tribal themed nails.

I really like these, and I hope you do to, try them out and then send me pics to show me! :)

Allright, lets get started. So, to start I did the base coat for all of my nails.

White Matter by Formula X
Dark Matter by Formula X
On a Silver Platter by Essie
I chose to have two accent nails, and then on the tribal design nails, I painted two white stripes down the sides, and then one black stripe down the middle.

Next, I took my color that I chose to use and painted a big X across the nail, and made sure to leave some black and white showing at the top, bottom, and sides of my nails.

Strut Your Stuff by Essie

Then I took my white polish and painted another big X across my nail on top of the blue, but left a thin outline of the blue showing.

Now comes the detail work. Next I took a black nail striper and, on the sides where the white shows, I outlined right next to where the blue starts to show. And then after that, using the striper again, I painted on half triangles inside of the white X on both the top and the bottom.

To finish off this design I took the smallest dotting tool and made an X using black dots across the white X outside of the two half triangles.

And that's all it took for me to do these tribal nails! Just add your topcoat, I use Essie's Good to Go Topcoat, and you are all finished.

All done!! :)

Thanks so much for reading my tutorial, I hope you enjoyed it.
